SUMMARY
CTI is looking for an experienced and responsible Stringless Paving Design Supervisor to manage our 3D field crew and design management of all models and files necessary to complete Heavy Highway paving projects. This Supervisor will be the direct point of contact for Heavy Highway paving personnel, and any outside contractors and customers, for the development of and modifications to machine-controlled files.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and compile machine-controlled paving files for Heavy Highway concrete paving operations.
- Collect and process as-built information.
- Adjust files from field-collected data, as needed.
- Maintain basic server and file organization.
- Inventory and maintain all 3D equipment.
- Manage software and software needs for 3D operations.
- Oversee field operations to ensure crew (3-5 members) are operating efficiently and effectively. Must have the ability to layout, plan, communicate, organize, and direct assigned staff in all aspects of 3D field work.
- Coordinate work, daily, with Heavy Highway Operations Manager, Director of Operations, Project Managers, General Contractors, field staff, and other personnel, as needed.
- Complete projects in strict accordance to plans and specifications and maintain a productions schedule for 3 working days.
- Follow Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) set by the company.
- Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations set forth by CTI policies, OSHA, and Federal and State laws.
- Strive to continually improve the company and its crews and processes.
- Schedule and assign responsibilities of crew members on job sites and process all record/timekeeping. Also responsible for time management of creating and modifying design files to complement project schedules and deadlines.
- Assign and monitor the labor, materials, supplies, equipment resources, overall quality, and cleanliness for each project or crew for efficient and effective production.
- Build projects in strict conformance to the specifications and per CTI's QA/QC plan. Ensure the requirements of smoothness and thickness of concrete on each project.
- Support with training, disciplinary actions, promotions, employee engagement, and other employee inquires.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma, or equivalent, or higher education required.
- 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role with experience in construction industry preferred.
- 3 years experience in land surveying and interpreting site survey control points.
- Experience with CAD design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Construction design software experience, preferably Carlson.
- Working within a Windows computer environment.
- Understanding of civil design and commonly used civil engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Able to read and interpret engineering plans and documents.
- Able to understand drafting standards and design documentation.
- Possess good mathematical skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills. Work well under time constraints and respond positively to change.
- Professional, friendly, self-motivated, proactive, and possess a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required.
