Position Summary :
G roundskeeper / Cleaner position is a unique job opportunity that will combine both skills into one. With emphasis on groundskeeping responsibilities, the cleaner position will be mostly utilized during off season groundskeeping months with some exceptions or when a need arises.
Groundskeeper will require maintaining site landscaping, lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf and irrigation. Knowledge of operating grounds keeping various hand and power tools is a must.
Follows the scope of work assigned by Supervisor and as per contract specifications.
Cleaner will be responsible for all cleaning tasks assigned by Supervisor and as per contract specifications. Tasks may include but not limited, to general commercial office cleaning, general house cleaning, floor care services, and window cleaning.

Qualifications
1. A high school diploma or training and experience that are considered equivalent.
2. A practical knowledge of electric and gasoline power tools (ride-on lawn mowers, walk behind lawn mowers, trimmers, and hedgers, weed whackers, blowers, etc.).
3. A practical knowledge of various hand tools (such as saws, shovels, rakes, hedge shears, bypass pruners).
4. An ability to communicate in a courteous manner.
5. A neat appearance.
6. Knowledge of proper mixing of fuel and engine oil ratio for small gasoline engines power tools.
7. Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance and landscaping services.
8. Valid NYS Driver's License recommended.
9. OSHA Certification recommended.
