Groundskeeper, Sr. jobs in the United States

High end residential landscape installation and maintenance company. Currently hiring the right person to oversee our maintenance division. We specialize in detailed gardening and meeting the needs of our client's unique properties.

Responsibilities:

- Manage team of employees/gardening crews.

- Create daily schedules and specific task lists for each property.

- Perform and oversee landscape maintenance duties, detailed gardening, pruning/trimming, weeding, mowing, fertilizer application, aeration etc.

- Coordinate seasonal tasks such as mulching and seasonal color change outs. Protect plantings from freeze as needed.

- Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to, commercial mowers, blowers, line trimmers, as well as miscellaneous hand tools.

- Oversee/delegate maintenance of equipment

- Troubleshoot irrigation issues, identify and coordinate repairs. Adjust irrigation settings as needed.

- Provide excellent customer service. Act as contact point for clients. Address clients' requests, comments and concerns. Notify management of important issues.

- Responsible for reviewing daily log sheets, assist in reviewing monthly invoices for accuracy

- Assist with employee recruiting and selection. Train, mentor and facilitate in new hires as needed.

Requirements:

- Must have a current and unrestricted Driver's License with a clean driving record

- Detailed gardening experience as well as residential maintenance experience.

- Knowledge of plants and ability to identify pest and disease problems.

- Previous crew management experience

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to preform all maintenance tasks

- Basic knowledge of common irrigation controllers. Ability to troubleshoot irrigation issues.

- Ability to work 7:30 – 4:00/5:00, Mon through Fri with no conflicts.

Salary -- Based on experience and knowledge.
