Maclay Middle School Golf Coach is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the golf program for the co-ed Middle School team, ensuring its smooth operation, development, and success. This role involves managing team activities, scheduling, organizing tournaments, coordinating practices, communication with coaches and families, and fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes in Middle School athletes.
Program Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive golf program aligned with school goals and values.
Create a structured curriculum for skill development, training, and player improvement.
Team Management:
Coordinate tryouts, team schedules, practices, and matches efficiently.
Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records, including student eligibility, team rosters, and match results.
Communicate effectively with parents, school administration, and stakeholders regarding program updates and events.
Player Development:
Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to enhance players' skills and performance.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.
Event Coordination:
Organize and oversee golf tournaments, competitions, and fundraising events.
Liaise with external organizations, other schools, and leagues for scheduling and collaboration opportunities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in coaching and/or playing golf at a competitive level.
