Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and services of the golf course, including the golf shop, tournaments, practice facilities, and cart fleet. Ensures golf facilities are properly maintained. Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. We are currently looking for an experienced Teaching Professional who can create a dynamic golf academy here at Stony Creek Golf Course. We have a practice tee with 45 stalls, 3 practice greens, 2 Indoor Golf Sims and a private, covered teaching academy space. The new Teaching Professional will be expected to build/brand their own golf academy at Stony Creek GC and has an unlimited source of potential lessons at our very busy facility. This position is an independent contractor, and you must carry liability insurance. Compensation is based on staying busy year-round at the facility.
