Job Summary:
NBH, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and therapy to patients with various mental health conditions. This position offers an independent provider arrangement with negotiable reimbursement based on your experience and expertise.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess the mental health status of patients.
· Formulate accurate diagnoses based on assessment findings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans.
· Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and clinical guidelines.
· Monitor and evaluate patients' response to medications, making necessary adjustments to dosage or treatment plans as required.
· Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address patients' mental health needs.
· Offer psychoeducation to patients and their families, empowering them to understand and manage their mental health conditions effectively.
· Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and counselors, to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication documentation, in accordance with clinic policies and legal requirements.
· Stay informed about current trends, research, and advancements in psychiatric nursing practice through ongoing professional development activities.
· Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
· Valid Nevada license as a Registered Nurse.
· Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
· State Nurse Practitioner Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
· Active DEA License for prescribing schedule II, III, IV, and V medications.
· Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions across the lifespan.
· Proficiency in providing individual and group therapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
· Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively handle a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks.
· Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and proficiency in documentation.
· Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality in accordance with legal and professional guidelines.
Pay:
