Head of Anesthesiology is responsible for the efficient operation of anesthesia services. Develops, implements, and maintains anesthesia procedures and practices. Being a Head of Anesthesiology works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Manages a staff of anesthesia technicians and nurses. Additionally, Head of Anesthesiology requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Head of Anesthesiology manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Anesthesiology typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Anesthesiology Physician
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Regular 8 Pay Rate: $324.97 - $324.95
This facility is seeking an Anesthesiology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.
Details & requirements for this opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday; 35-40 hours per week; typically out by 3:00pm-5:00pm
- Job Setting: Surgical Center
- Types of Cases: Urology, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Endoscopy, Plastics, No neurology (occasional orthopedic spine)
- Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Paper Charting and Anesthesia Records
- Board Certification, Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Active CSR/DEA, and Active Texas State License required.
