    This posting is for the U.S. facility located on the Space Coast in Brevard County Florida.

    DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY

    As the Head of Business Development, you will report to the General Manager and work closely with other BD and Capture colleagues, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and leading the US DoD/IC strategy. The senior-level individual sought for this position will be customer-facing and entirely focused on growing revenue within the Argotec Inc. The emphasis will be mission-focused to support the warfighter with small satellite manufacturing and operations opportunities for constellations that range from Very-Low Earth Orbit (VLEO), LEO, MEO, GEO, and beyond Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (XGEO).

    In this position, you will have the opportunity to work independently and autonomously with the support of an experienced multi-functional team from Argotec’s headquarters.

    Specific Duties Include:

    • Work collaboratively with current BD team, Engineering, and the Growth team to identify a DoD/IC roadmap strategy
    • Lead the US DoD/IC customer outreach with active engagement to understand, identify and shape current/future needs, requirements, and policies
    • Organize and lead the business development team, specifically focusing on DOD/IC
    • Coordinate and collaborate with senior-level management
    • Lead the pursuit of business on existing programs of record and for new business within the DoD Armed Forces with emphasis on the Combatant Commands and the Military Departments
    • Collaborate with other Business Development leads for opportunities
    • Promote within the DoD/IC customer base – current and future capabilities, architectures, applications, and data products that support mission requirements and gaps and collaborate with the TO Advanced Solutions team in shaping opportunities during customer engagements
    • Provide support to the Proposal/Capture teams
    • Understand and identify when/where external strategic partnerships with prime defense contractors are best utilized to win new business
    • Actively engage within the “defense space community” through presentations, panels, working groups, and participation at applicable conferences to promote Argotec business
    • The candidate will have ownership, responsibility, and autonomy to lead, grow and capture business within the US DoD agencies.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
    • 20 or more years of professional experience in aerospace or high-tech industry with demonstrated technical business development role and/or technical space related field (preferably in support of the US combatant commands and military departments)
    • Demonstrated depth of experience working in the US DoD/IC on space programs, sensor and payload technologies, architectures, and data services/analytics
    • Experience interfacing and engaging US Government professional advocates customer sets throughout the mission domain
    • Solid knowledge of space and data markets, industry players, and DoD/IC customers
    • Great problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication in English
    • US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Understand all business development, capture, proposal, and program management competencies and practices
    • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools
    • Experience leading, coordinating, and contributing technical and cost volumes for large aerospace or defense proposals
    • Experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment and DoD/IC
    • Outgoing, friendly, trustworthy, hard-working, and highest integrity
    • Capable of working independently and in a team environment
    • Must possess multi-tasking skills and excellent leadership and organizational abilities
    • Impeccable attention to detail and a sense of urgency
    • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
