Educational Requirements:
A program must ensure staff responsible for the management and oversight of services to children with disabilities hired after November 7, 2016, have, at a minimum, a baccalaureate degree, preferably related to one or more of the disciplines they oversee
As prescribed in section 648(A)(a)(2)(B)(i) of the Act, a program must ensure staff and consultants that serve as education managers or coordinators, including those that serve as curriculum specialists, have a baccalaureate or advanced degree in early childhood education or a baccalaureate or advanced degree and equivalent coursework in early childhood education with early education teaching experience

· Employment is contingent on a cleared criminal background check (national database), a cleared background check as per the Department of Children & Family Services Licensing Standards, and the successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
· Must pass a general physical examination and TB screening at the time of hire and every two years after that. Provide proof of completed MMR and Tdap vaccinations.

· Responsible for collaborating with other members of the program and the mental health consultant to develop goals and objectives for Social Emotional Support Plans as needed for students with behavioral deficits that impact their learning
· Responsible for supporting staff and supervisors in planning implementation strategies of goals and objectives, monitors and evaluates results, and recommends programmatic improvements related to behavior and positive classroom climate
Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified staff
