The Position at a Glance

If you’re an experienced Patient Services Representative who is committed to patient satisfaction and is seeking a friendly, patient-centric clinical setting, we’re looking for you! As our Patient Services Representative, you’ll be on the front line for creating a positive experience for our patients, thriving in a high patient volume environment and enjoying assisting with the patient check-in and check-out process, scheduling appointments, and answering incoming calls while providing excellent customer service to our diverse patients. Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour plus an available incentive plan. An array of benefits with employer contributions are available to regular employees and their eligible dependents, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401k retirement plan, plus paid time off that covers vacation, sick leave, and personal business.

Qualifications

Both of the following qualifications are required by time of employment:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a medical practice front office
• Bilingual fluency in oral and written Spanish

The Position - Full Responsibilities

• Interacting with patients, payers, and providers to gather information necessary for accurate registration including assigning of appropriate Medical Record Numbers, scheduling, referral/authorization, payment collection, document collection and arrival/check-in functions.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments in person or over the phone and entering appropriate insurance information.
• Taking a proactive approach to customer service by listening to patients, taking ownership of solutions, and identifying the need to involve leadership to resolve concerns.
• Responding to customer billing and payment inquiries.
• Effectively managing the patient check-in and check-out process from start to finish, including identification verification, updating or confirming demographic and insurance information for each patient, providing appropriate forms, ensuring forms are signed and witnessed at the time of each patient's visit, collecting patient payment responsibility, and accurately preparing end of day reporting or payment reconciliation as needed.
• Escalating billing inquiries as needed.
• Accurately scheduling patient appointments according to appointment scheduling procedures, accurately documenting and routing messages, scheduling and confirming appointments according to practice guidelines, entering appropriate insurance information, and performing Key User duties with minimal errors.
• Initiating and validating referrals and authorizations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
