    Major Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Assists with monitoring the daily workflow of department responsibilities to ensure both an even distribution of work among the staff and that loan applications are being processed within established time frames.
    • Ensures the consistent processing of loan applications and promotes the availability of credit to all members of the Credit Union. Supports the Credit Union’s fair lending practices and complies with regulation requirements regarding the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and NCUA’s nondiscrimination requirements.
    • Gathers background information on loan applicants by reviewing loan applications and obtaining credit bureau reports. Handles loans of higher degree of complexity, value, or risk as established by lending matrix, including complex business relationships such as multiple partnerships and LLCs.
    • Assists with auditing loan packages to assure compliance with Credit Union lending policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Assists HE Manager and Team Lead with balancing GL’s and vendor payments.
    • Assists with analyzing loan application disputes and appeals, assures appeals are properly addressed with final disposition relayed to the member.
    • Assist with the evaluation of the job performance of subordinate staff and assist with writing reviews. Makes recommendations regarding performance improvements, assigns specific tasks, and assists with establishing departmental goals consistent with overall Credit Union strategic objectives.
    • Assists in training and interpretation of lending related policies and procedures for Credit Union staff.
    • Assist with tracking employees’ attendance and coordinates department staffing schedules to ensure member service levels are always maintained.
    • Complies with all applicable Rules, Regulations and Statutes of the NCUA and other appropriate governing bodies to include but not limited to: Credit Union Bylaws, Credit Union Code of Conduct, Credit Union Employee Guidebook, Bank Secrecy/Anti-Money Laundering Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Lending Act, and Fair Credit Reporting Act.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Experience:
    *
    Education: *High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    Experience: Three (3) year’s general work experience plus five (5) years lending experience required. Home Equity or Mortgage experience preferred.
    Skills: Excellent math and analytical skills required. Must have a thorough understanding of financial institution products and services with an emphasis on consumer lending. Ability to apply Credit Union policy and coEplex lending regulations to make sound lending decisions required. Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel required.
    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent interviewing and interpersonal skills required. Ability to cross-sell services.
    Location: This position is in Headquarters or Contact Center.
    Supervisory: Three (3) year’s managerial experience required.
    Time in Service: None Required.
