Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to lead our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
- Oversee shift management, ensuring that all employees are scheduled and properly trained for their roles.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Conduct inventory control to minimize waste and optimize store profitability.
- Assist the Assistant Manager or Store Manager in recruiting and hiring new employees.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Provide employee orientation and ensure all staff are familiar with company policies and procedures.
- Lead by example, demonstrating high standards of customer service and store appearance.
- Collaborate with the management team to set goals, establish priorities, and implement initiatives to improve store performance.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Team Leader or Assistant Manager in a retail environment, preferably in a grocery store.
- Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Experience with recruiting and training new employees.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining store appearance and ensuring high-quality customer service.
