HR Data Analyst supports the design, deployment, and administration of operational processes used to deliver HR programs and projects. Collaborates with stakeholders to provide consultation, process design, and project management of HR program implementations and initiatives like compensation, benefits, performance management, or training. Being an HR Data Analyst implements scalable methodologies and tools to optimize HR operations and streamline core processes like onboarding, hiring, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, and others that make up the employment life-cycle. Performs employee data management and analysis processes to ensure that data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations. Additionally, HR Data Analyst prepares and delivers required reporting and filings. May be responsible for the coordination of HR process outsourcing vendors and contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The HR Data Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Summary:
Develop and maintain SQL or SAS programs to extract files and report on data from Operational Data Store systems and other auxiliary data systems.
Prepare, analyze, and summarize information into reports in response to requests from OSU administrators, faculty, students, or from agencies outside OSU.
Assist in developing and maintaining ePrint and other specialized reports available to colleges and other offices across campus.
Develop and apply statistical and mathematical models to optimize operational data usage.
Research and develop statistical models in response to OSU management objectives.
Participate in the development of management reports such as the Student Profile, Big 12 Data Exchange, Tuition and Fees, and the Common Data Set, as well as various institutional surveys (e.g. U.S. News Best Colleges Survey).
Develop and implement recommendations for maintaining efficient and streamlined data extraction programs.
Develop or assist in the development of analytics reports based on operational data for administrators and the public.
Assist in day to day management of institutional operational data stores and other data sources.
Working evenings and weekends is sometimes required to complete projects or meet deadlines.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, math, computer science, MIS, statistics, education, or any technology-related degree.
Two years of experience related to analytics, statistical or mathematical modeling, or SQL programming.
Knowledge of general PC Systems such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and data extraction/data analysis programs using SQL, SAS/SPSS, etc.
Individual must have excellent oral & written communication skills and the ability to maintain constructive relationships and work collaboratively with departmental co-workers, OSU administrators, faculty, staff, students, and off-campus entities.
Organizational Skills: Individual must be able to handle many tasks simultaneously, work under pressure, be self-motivated, conscientious, dedicated, able to meet deadlines, and appropriately prioritize projects within the framework of constant changes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in business, math, computer science, MIS, statistics, education, or any technology-related degree.
Preferred experience with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle SQL Developer, SAS Certified Base Programmer or SAS Certified Predictive Modeler Using SAS Enterprise Miner 14 or SAS Certified Platform Administrator.
