    DESCRIPTION

Amazon’s mission to be Earth’s most customer-centric company would be impossible without our talented people. Their hard work and creative thinking ensure we deliver great customer experiences.
As we strive to be Earth's best employer, our global HR teams, known internally as People eXperience and Technology (PXT), grow the business through people by creating an inclusive culture focused on safety, engagement, technology and innovation.
Broaden your HR knowledge to elevate your performance and unleash your potential as you take your HR career in exciting new directions.

The Senior HR Manager is part of the NACF senior leadership team, partnering with leaders at multiple levels of the organization to develop strategies and goals. In this role, you will build and foster a safe, inclusive, service-focused environment where HR and Business leaders are committed to delivering a positive employee experience. You will have the autonomy to innovate and deploy HR strategies focused on employee engagement, talent management, organizational effectiveness and workforce planning, and you will understand when collaboration with other teams and leaders will help you get to better solutions or results. You will lead a team of HR employees to leverage data, policy, process, communication and experience to drive excellence throughout the employee lifecycle. You will understand and teach your team regarding the importance of accurate and timely HR metrics as well as their inputs and impacts.

To thrive, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to connect to the bigger picture. You'll dive deep into the details, while collaborating with leaders across sites and regions to drive scalable and sustainable solutions and results.

    Key job responsibilities
Own and create sustainable HR strategies that set the vision, direction and establish supporting routines for the HR team. Model, train, and coach behavioral expectations and hold operations and HR teams accountable to following up on employee-facing questions and resolving concerns in a timely manner.
Work closely with Business Leader(s) and jointly own the decisions for all people related matters (e.g. employment decisions, DEI, talent development, performance management, employee relations) and be actively involved in their development. Coach, provide constructive feedback, and hold leaders accountable to equitably seeking, retaining, developing and optimizing the performance and engagement of their teams.
Establish effective partnerships with specialized HR functions, including centers of excellence and shared services (e.g., compensation, staffing, recruiting). Challenge the status quo, and leverage partnerships to drive improved performance and employee experiences within centralized functions, scaling solutions across the site, region and beyond.
Collaborate with site and regional leadership teams to harmonize site-specific priorities in alignment with overarching Amazon goals (e.g., diversity & inclusion, engagement, and talent management initiatives).
Lead, champion, and follow up on organizational and operational change. Remove barriers that impede change or adoption of change. Respond resourcefully and constructively to new demands, priorities, challenges or obstacles. Use high judgment when making decisions.

    A day in the life
A typical day on our team involves managing multiple priorities simultaneously - oriented on results, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. You will coach and support leaders through stakeholder management, talent management, organizational health, organizational strategy, and team development strategies. You will own and create sustainable HR strategies, setting the vision, direction and establishing routines for the HR team through coaching and development, monitoring service levels, and holding teams accountable to meet and exceed key people, operational, financial, and team goals. You will balance technical, high-judgment HR work with actively engaging our teams on the production floor, coaching our leaders and creating Earth’s best place to work. You'll work in a complex, rapidly changing environment where you will have opportunities to innovate to more effectively achieve people and organizational goals.
