Overview:

The Accounting & HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting various accounting and human resources tasks and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of operations. This is an on-site position, where you will work closely with the accounting and human resources team and other departments to maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

• Must have 2 years of experience in an accounting role (AP, AR, Reconciling, Jourmnal Entries, Reports)
• Must have 2 years of experience in human resources with Sourcing/recruiting/onboarding experience
• Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks or similar.
• Abiliyt to travel to other locations in SOWEGA as needed during regular office hours
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: Process invoices, verify transaction information, schedule and prepare payments, and reconcile vendor statements.
• Accounts Receivable: Prepare and send invoices, track payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and assist in maintaining customer accounts.
• Data Entry: Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software, maintain organized records, and ensure data integrity.
• Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, answering phone calls, and managing correspondence.
• Recruiting & On-Boarding: Source and recruit open positions using various job boards and databases; set up interviews with hiring managers, screen potential candidates; Prepare new hires and complete a positive onboarding experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
