The Role
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for carrying out responsibilities with minimal supervision in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment and benefits.
Key responsibilities:
- Consults with management team on workforce management
- Processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval
- Overseeing hiring process
- Oversee off boarding process
- Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
- Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating
- Partner with Insperity to implement training and development plans
- Plan quarterly and annual performance review sessions
- Supports the benefit administration and open enrollment process to ensure employees have the information they need so they can make informed benefit decisions.
- Actively participates in hiring process for new hires. From, creating job descriptions, to developing recruitment strategies, conducting interviews, and presenting new hire orientations
- Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
- Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
- Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
- Maintains current knowledge of, and provides training to management staff to enhance understanding and compliance with State and Federal human resource law and policy
- Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
- Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations in partnership with Insperity
- Other additional tasks as and when required

Knowledge and Skills

- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel software.
Education and/or Experience
• 3-5 years of Human Resources experience preferred
Language & Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information to management
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
