Human Resources Consultant
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Consultant to join our Colorado Membership team in our Colorado Springs office. Reports to: Colorado Membership Director
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with assigned accounts to engage members and ensure member confidence in Employers Council's Human Resource expertise
- Continually develop knowledge and proficiency in various HR disciplines to provide members with all necessary human resources consultative support
- Conduct training classes at Employers Council offices or at member locations on a wide variety of HR related topics via both in-classroom and e-learning methodologies.
- Develop new classes, programs, and other materials to meet members’ current and anticipated HR needs
- Provide advice, counsel, and recommendations to members via phone, email, or in person on a wide variety of HR related topics
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions
- Review and recommend changes, amendments, and/or improvements to documents including employee handbooks/policy manuals, compensation plans, performance appraisal forms, and other documents
- Manage assigned member accounts to identify usage patterns, low utilization of hours, or recent changes to business that could indicate potential opportunities for use of Employers Council services or cancellation of membership with Employers Council
- Become familiar and stay current with all Employers Council member services, training schedules, special services, internet services, and internal Employers Council operations to relay information to members or potential members as needed
- Draft articles to be published in internal and external publications and draft other internal publications as needed
- Prepare multi-media training materials and delivers those materials in a classroom or work environment; deliver presentations/speeches to community/industry groups on HR related topics to audiences ranging in size from a handful to a few hundred or more
- Complete required procedures upon member assignment, member transfer, and cancellation
- Complete monthly time accounting
- Participate on internal committees on an as needed or interest basis
- Regular and reliable attendance
Requirements

- Experience in multiple human resources disciplines such as total rewards, staffing, employee relations, and performance management at a strategic level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or closely related field
- HRCI or SHRM certification required or attained within one year of hire.
