Human Resources Supervisor administers human resources policies and programs and directs the human resources staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee productivity and company objectives. Provides day-to-day oversight of various human resources functions critical to the organization, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Supervisor supervises and trains staff that provides operational and administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, and other hr functions and programs. Develops consistent and standard procedures to process employment, attendance, and other records and to ensure accuracy. Additionally, Human Resources Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Human Resources Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Human Resources Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.   • Main Responsibilities, Requirements, and Competencies

    • Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work). 
    • Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting. 
    • Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring HSE and 5S policies and standards are followed. 
    • Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets. 
    • Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel. 
    •  Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced.
    • Ensure compliance of the team member handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to production team members.
    •  Monitor quality of product throughout the production process. 
    • Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives. 
    • Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.
    • Quality System: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
    •  Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function related EHS requirements. 
    • Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
    •  Compliance: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements.
    •  Information Security: Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
    •  Must comply with all company policies and procedures. 
    • Employee must have the ability to work additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time. 
    • Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels. 
    • Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment.

     

    Specific Requirements

    • High School Graduate or Equivalent Area of Study: General Studies 
    • Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
    • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Production. 
    • 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
