Inspects facilities and work areas to prescribes corrective actions to reduce the health risks. Being an Industrial Hygienist provides advice on methods and procedures to reduce occupational health risks. Determines measures to avoid any recurrence of accidents. Additionally, Industrial Hygienist evaluates facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promotes maintenance of a sanitary working environment. Conducts training in environmental compliance and the handling of hazardous materials. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. The Industrial Hygienist contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. About this Position
Pinyon is looking for an experienced and motivated Industrial Hygienist to become the next member of our team. Primary tasks for this position will involve providing comprehensive health, safety, and industrial hygiene consultative services to a myriad of
service, manufacturing, and government clients, onsite hazard evaluation and monitoring, conducting health and safety training, assessments, data analysis, and technical writing.
Essential Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :
Conduct exposure monitoring for various types of potential exposure hazards, such as : silica; respirable and total dust;
chemicals; fungal spores; and personal noise dosimetry
