    SCOPE OF WORK:

     

    1. Able to perform installations, repairs, testing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and programming for the following system types but not limited to:
      1. Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion, Fire Alarm/Suppression, and Cabling infrastructure in an industrial/commercial environment.
      2. Installation of low voltage wiring and Structured Cabling IE CAT5e, Cat6, Fiber, etc.
      3. We terminate and install end devices for access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems such as card/badge readers, motion detectors, door strikes, maglocks, cameras, keypads, door contacts, etc.
      4. Installation, service, troubleshooting, and programming numerous Fire Alarm Systems including Silent, Knight, Gamewell, Notifier, EST, Fire Light, etc.
      5. We are terminating and installing various fire alarm devices such as pull stations, horns, strobes, sirens, smoke detectors, heat detectors, panels, glass breaks, speakers, etc.
    2. Completes all other job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications


    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    1. LICENSES Current Driver's License and have own transportation, some provided.
    2. EDUCATION - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent training required by Educational Institution responsible for Apprentice Classes
    3. EXPERIENCE Has one or more years of previous low voltage experience (commercial/industrial)
    4. SPECIAL CRITERIA: Must be selected by Company Officers for Official Sponsorship in the Residential Vendor training schools based on Tenure, Attendance, Job Performance, and Test Scores.
    5. MUST PASS A MANDATORY URINALYSIS DRUG/ALCOHOL SCREENING and Background check.
    6. Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
    7. Must be authorized to work in the US.
    8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
    9. Working knowledge of test equipment such as multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters, and communicating devices.
    10. Certification and/or experience with Honeywell, DMP, EST, Notifier, Gamewell, RS2, Netaccess123, Brivo, DSX, Mobotix, Hikvision, Pelco, etc. a plus.
    11. Experience working with fire alarm systems in an industrial/commercial construction environment.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    1. The job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
    2. The job requires an employee to have required personal tools with them at all times (waist tool belt as worn weighs approximately 30 lbs).
    3. Work from all type ladders (step ladders up to 14', "A" frame ladders, and all size extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12' step ladder by oneself.
    4. Perform work at various heights, up to 90' or higher from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, or other safe work areas.
    5. Work in restricted areas (switchgear room, utility holes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics).
    6. Wear personal protective equipment, hard hat, safety glasses, respirator when required.
    7. Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
    8. Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts.

    SKILLS:

    1. Positively identify colors of wires.
    2. Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics of same.
    3. Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.
    4. Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
    5. Capable of digging trenches by use of hand tools or operator.
    6. Practices and comprehends safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Policy Handbook, HazCom Policy, and Lockout/Tagout Policy.
    7. Operates two (2) handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers.
    8. Operates company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.
    9. Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.
    10. Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas-powered).

    PHYSICAL FUNCTION:

    1. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
    2. Lift 51 pounds.
    3. You are constantly moving your feet.
    4. Climb ladders.
    5. Completing overhead work for full-day assignments.
    6. Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
    7. Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete their assigned tasks.
