We are seeking dedicated, patient, and experienced In-Person and Online Special Needs Tutors to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles.

Position Overview:
As a contract Special Needs Tutor, you will provide one-on-one educational support to students with various learning disabilities, both in their homes and through online sessions. This role requires flexibility, as you will be adapting to the individual needs of each student and their learning environment. Tutors will cover a range of subjects and are welcome from all grades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement personalized learning plans to meet the specific needs, strengths, and goals of each student.
• Deliver instruction across various subjects, adapting teaching methods to each student’s unique learning style and requirements.
• Track and document student progress, modifying learning plans as necessary to ensure continued educational development.
• Foster a supportive, positive, and safe learning environment, encouraging student engagement and participation.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and the academic team on student progress and concerns.
• Adapt to various teaching environments, including in-home and online settings.
• Stay informed on the latest educational practices and tools for teaching students with special needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Valid teaching credential preferred when applicable.
• Proven experience with special needs students is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of diverse teaching methods and educational strategies for students with various learning disabilities.
• Exceptional communication, patience, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to travel to students' homes for in-person sessions and capability to conduct effective online tutoring sessions.
• Availability to commit to a contract position with variable hours.

Contract Details:

• This is a contract position; terms will be discussed with successful candidates.
• Tutors will need to have reliable transportation for travel to students’ homes within the Los Angeles area.
• Tutors must have access to a reliable internet connection and a computer for online teaching sessions.
