Being an Instructor - Psychology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Psychology typically reports to a department head. The Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an Associate Adjunct in Psychology. The Department is looking for an experienced instructor who can teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in our department and in both in-person and virtual modalities.
This is a part-time, ten-month, teaching-focused position beginning in August 2023 with a current teaching load of up to 21 credit hours yearly.
The successful candidate should have a documented history of effective teaching of psychology courses at the university level. The Associate Adjunct in Psychology will teach clinically-foucsed courses in our graduate program as well as undergraduate courses based on need and candidate expertise.
A Ph.D or Psy.D. in Psychology is required with a preference for a candidate with a doctoral degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology.
Eligibility to work in the United States at the time of appointment is required.
