Insurance Accountant jobs in Plano, TX

• Coordinate AP, journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist in the preparation of financial statements and other month-end close-related items.
• Support the daily processing of receipt batches in our agency management system.
• Ensure timely payments by monitoring the monthly disbursement checklist and updating it with new standing entries as required.
• Provide support to the Controller, including reviewing operating reports and maintaining the month-end close tracker.
• Generate electronic fund transfer requests for various financial transactions.

What You Will Bring

• 7 years of staff accountant experience
• Team training and mentorship experience preferred
• Insurance experience preferred
• Bachelor's or master's degree with an accounting or finance focus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and their application in financial reporting
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• An advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel; ability to adapt to multiple accounting systems
