- Our Accounting Department is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA office. This is a full time, hybrid, exempt role. POSITION OVERVIEW: Independently completes routine accounting and reporting processes with limited supervision. Performs moderately complex assignments under immediate supervision. Demonstrates an understanding of accounting and reporting concepts. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: Compiles and analyzes financial information for business transactions. Prepares simple to moderately complex journal entries and performs account reconciliations & data gathering. Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. May be required to document process flows for areas of responsibility. May be required to identify and implement process improvements. May be required to document and test procedures implemented for SOX 404. May be required to participate in monitoring of overall company close process. May be required to research simple accounting issues and present findings in a memo. WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY: 2-4 Yrs related experience. Bachelor’s or equivalent. Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions to achieve results. Knows and applies accounting concepts to both simple and moderately difficult assignments. Communicates well with own team and across organizational boundaries to create alignment and ensure the successful completion of shared goals. Possesses a solid understanding of accounting principles. Able to work independently.
