Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.
We are currently seeking an Internal Auditor, reporting to the General Counsel, located in Novi, Michigan.
Key Responsibilities'- Responsible for leading and executing assigned audit and advisory activities under the direction of the General Counsel
- Responsible for identifying and assessing process risks and controls; documenting business processes; identifying and evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of controls; and developing, executing, and documenting audit tests and workpapers
- Evaluate the current SOX 404/J-SOX testing plan to ensure completeness of controls to address financial reporting risks and appropriateness of test procedures including detailed tests of design, tests of effectiveness, and substantive testing
Education & Experience Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
- 3-5 years of audit experience, internal or external, including SOX 404 requirements (and/or J-SOX requirements)
- CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE Certification(s) preferred
- Experience working in the automotive manufacturing industry preferred
- Experience risk and control concepts
Skills Required- Knowledge of COSO framework
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Detail oriented and deadline driven.
- Communication: written, verbal and listening
- Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships
- Ability to identify root causes, articulate relevance, and provides meaningful recommendations
- MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Travel Requirements: 10-15% domestic travel to company business units
