Essential Functions:
- Performs comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
- Ability to independently review patient problems including but not limited to; injection therapy, medication refills, determining the need of follow up care and referring appropriately to the physician according to policy
- Write orders and progress notes
- Orders and interprets laboratory and radiographic studies
- Use, protect, and disclose patient’s protected health information (PHI) in accordance with Health Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
- Monitor and assess patients' pain levels and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with physicians to develop individualized pain management plans
- Educate patients and families on pain management techniques and self-care strategies
