Overview:
Gomobile Tires is seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Controller to manage and optimize inventory within our vehicle upfitting facility in Hillsboro, Oregon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, accuracy, and control to ensure smooth operations and meet production demands.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee the entire inventory lifecycle for vehicle upfitting components, including parts, accessories, and materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement and monitor inventory control systems and procedures.
- Analyze inventory levels and turnover rates to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to forecast demand and adjust inventory accordingly.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate order fulfillment.
- Manage returns and damaged goods processes.
- Resolve inventory-related issues with suppliers and internal departments.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes.
- Implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures.
- Data Analysis:
- Utilize inventory management software to generate reports and analyze inventory data.
- Identify trends and patterns in inventory movement to inform decision-making.
- Calculate inventory holding costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Warehouse Management:
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to optimize storage and organization of inventory.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory items.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
