The Opportunity

We’re looking for a high caliber Business Operations Consultant to join MassMutual’s Stable Value Investments business to support the continued growth of the business. Our innovative Stable Value investment solutions are designed to serve the diverse capital preservation needs of retirement plan constituents and span the spectrum of general account, separate account, group annuity, CIT, custom wrap solutions backed by the full credit and financial strength of MassMutual.

The Team

The Stable Value Investments team is comprised of Operations and Reporting and Client Service team members who drive collaborative solutions and results by seeking and valuing diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. The Impact:

• Support the day-to-day activities of the Stable Value Operations Team that is now growing and maintaining a $35B book of business representing 180 contracts.
• Support the daily trading, account reconciliation and administrative needs of all our business partners.
• Support Stable Value team members and other appropriate business areas to assist in the implementation of new client contracts.
• Work closely with Investment Operations and our transfer agent to establish new client accounts that includes collecting relevant contractholder, product, and contract information.
• Ensure rate reset data is entered into the administrative system and produce any required unit values necessary to trade with external record-keepers. Distribute data to the appropriate external parties as necessary.
• Under general supervision, responsible for performing research and analysis to support business operations - presenting findings to managers. Determine best practices and suggest how to improve current practices.
• Develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.

The Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in investment account administration or operations
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong team player willing to work for the broader good of the organization
• General knowledge of Defined Contribution retirement plan types, regulatory landscape, product solutions
• Proficient use Microsoft Office tools Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom

The Ideal Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business or related field.
• 4 years of Stable Value experience working with investment account administration or in an operations team environment
• Experience working in insurance companies with an understanding of guaranteed investment account products and fixed income portfolios
