Service Technician (SIGN ON BONUS):
Iowa Irrigation is hiring multiple Service Technician positions. We are looking for dependable, energetic, and hard-working individuals that need to be appreciated and rewarded for their good performance. If you have experience with landscaping, equipment operation, electrical work, plumbing or farming you are a strong candidate. This position focused on commercial and residential service and repair in central Iowa. On-the-job training is available.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Service Technician’s job includes diagnosing and repairing problems with irrigation systems, communicating with customers, backflow device testing, performing seasonal start up and shut down services, and 2 wire electrical set ups diagnosis. All daily work is scheduled and managed through electronic communication and documentation with tablets or smart phones. Provides irrigation work notes, billing and understands parts material lists. Positions have the possibility of being either seasonal or full time with off season work doing vehicle and equipment maintenance along with snow removal.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
- On-time attendance will be mandatory.
- A working knowledge of irrigation systems, parts, tools, plumbing, or electrical knowledge is preferred.
- Must be willing to work longer than normal business hours, as necessary.
- Current backflow testing certification is a plus.
- Ability to read plans or follow verbal instructions.
- Being able to withstand frequent bending over, crouching, and lifting 20- 60 pounds.
- Proficiency with a smart phone or tablet.
- On the Job Training available for qualified candidates.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to dig and perform other manual tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
