Job Title: Cloud Intake Specialist (Technical Program Manager)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Cloud Intake Specialist to facilitate our customers' transition from on-premises workloads to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The primary focus will be ensuring the smooth progress of customer transformation programs, specifically migration and modernization initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional with a background in managing large-scale data center exits, demonstrating proficiency in coordinating migrations and application modernization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management skills, deep technical expertise in migration methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define the structure of transformation programs.
• Develop detailed migration and modernization plans, including timelines and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud transformation and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest Google Cloud Platform features and technologies, evaluating their relevance and potential application.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing digital infrastructure and applications to identify migration and modernization opportunities on Google Cloud Platform.
• Report progress against executive scorecards.
• Onboard application owners to the transformation program and governance framework, integrating reporting mechanisms.
• Develop materials for Steering Committee meetings, including risk definitions and leadership requests.
• Ensure alignment among key stakeholders.
• Define program communication strategies to stakeholders.
• Develop business cases for transformation initiatives.
• Assist in reviewing and finalizing vendor Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Track program and project progress.
• Report migration progress using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Drive overall transformation governance.
• Develop execution communication plans.
• Facilitate value realization decision-making processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Professional certification in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Developer).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud architecture, preferably with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven track record of successful infrastructure migration and application modernization projects.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
• Proficiency in reporting, presentation, communication, stakeholder alignment, storytelling, and thought leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience, with a focus on data center migration and project management.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks relevant to cloud computing.
• Strong grasp of data center technologies including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.
• Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or other project management methodologies.
