As a Financial Consultant on our Empower Personal Wealth sales team, you’ll provide essential support to customers during significant life events. Your role will involve guiding clients on retirement savings options, such as 401(k) and IRA products, to help them meet their financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer over-the-phone guidance to customers at key life moments, such as starting or ending employment, concerning their employer-sponsored retirement accounts.
- Discuss and recommend suitable account options, such as 401(k) and IRAs, to align with customers’ retirement goals.
- Educate customers about their retirement plan options and help them choose the best fit for their savings needs.
- Strengthen relationships with customers and enhance their experience with our services.
What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 1 year of sales experience, preferably in an inside sales environment.
- Current FINRA licenses or the ability to obtain FINRA 7 & 63 registrations within corporate timelines and complete FINRA fingerprinting upon hire.
- A motivated self-starter with quick learning abilities and strong independent work skills.
- Proven sales, relationship management, and customer service abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to engage with customers effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with inbound or phone-based sales.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Salesforce and a good understanding of IRAs, retirement investment products/services, and the retirement plan environment.
- A growth mindset focused on achieving team and company sales goals.
Remote Work
This position can be performed remotely. Applicants must have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S., as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Salary Range
\(52,000 - \)64,000 base salary. Total compensation may include additional incentives based on performance, which could significantly exceed the base salary. Compensation will be finalized at the time of offer based on location, experience, education, and other factors.
