The IT Operations Supervisor II implements internal procedures and guidelines to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks. Supervises the implementation and administration of information systems and equipment in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Being an IT Operations Supervisor II develops detailed documentation of methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organization's IT systems and coordinates and schedules IT initiatives. Analyzes business needs and recommends IT hardware and software products to support internal business processes. In addition, IT Operations Supervisor II monitors information systems to ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software operate in alignment with organizational needs and standards. Installs and configures an organization's network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks and monitors network performance. Implements basic security measures to protect systems and data and develops backup strategies and recovery plans. Collaborates with business groups to help utilize information systems to improve operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The IT Operations Supervisor II supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Operation Analyst (Data Center).
This will be a 2nd shift position (3:00pm – 11:30pm).
*The first couple weeks of training will all be during first shift hours*
Candidates must be willing to be onsite.
NOTE: Candidates will have the option to work from home each week once they come up to speed, but not always on Mondays and/or Thursdays. WFH days will depend on what rotation schedule they are on.

Position Summary:
This position is within the CAS Technology division and Solutions Platform and Reliability organization. Main functions include:
Efficiently use the proper incident and change management processes and procedures to initiate the appropriate documentation, engage 2nd level support and notify the appropriate stakeholder and user community of incidents/changes that occur affecting the Data Center Infrastructure (IBM Mainframe, Linux, Unix and Windows platforms) with the possibility of impacting CAS customers. Activities include monitoring events and production batch schedules, providing initial response to alerts caused by failures, escalating service incidents in a timely manner for swift resolution, opening event tickets, providing detailed turnover to the following shift and interfacing with the internal user community, support groups, systems administrators, hardware support teams and outside vendor support.
Support mainframe generated computer output in a distributed print environment.
Activities include managing output through application for distribution in postscript format to various network attached printers throughout CAS.
Support the implementation and operation of infrastructure services including storage, network, capacity, database, and hardware support, and other IT infrastructure support services involving online services, Editorial Systems and Enterprise Business Systems into the production environment.
Activities include maintaining master knowledge base with the appropriate guidelines and procedures for staff to follow to manage the infrastructure and test customer facing products to ensure functionality and availability.
