IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages the organization's strategic technology vendor management program to meet company needs and comply with required quality standards. Assists with selecting the company's product and service providers and tracks the procurement of IT products and services to monitor and maintain operational costs and budgets. Being an IT Vendor Relationship Manager leads request for proposals (RFP) process to vet the reputation and quality of vendor products. Negotiates service level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are clearly defined. Additionally, IT Vendor Relationship Manager works closely with internal teams to monitor, maintain, and improve existing vendor relationships. Conducts regular business reviews to ensure compliance with company expectations, review issues, and develop solutions. May require experience with software licensing and hardware procurement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Vendor Relationship Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     SSR Total IT, an award-winning technology services provider, is growing and seeking a motivated and experienced IT Purchasing Provisioning & Vendor Manager for our Brookfield office. This is a new position that will Lead our Procurement process and support our Account Executive team. Also, responsible for maintaining internal process while forming long term customer and vendor relationships. 

    The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, base IT technical knowledge and the ability to bring the role and department together with process and organization.  This person will have the IT knowledge needed to communicate and recommend solutions and products for our customers.


    Typical duties include but are not limited to:


    Customer:

    · Build out a full life cycle managed procurement practice including:

    o Technology Procurement - Specify working the technical team to source product, services and license from product manufacturers and distributors

    o Provision licenses and software for customer and team usage

    o Asset/Warranty registration & renewal as a service for our customers

    o Engage with Customer to do periodic true ups – to make sure our customers are not over/under buys licenses

    o Manage asset replacement at End of Life 

    o Manage asset disposal process 

    · Evaluate, build & execute process improvements with the goal to deliver a managed procurement experience so our clients can focus on their business vs purchasing and license management challenges.

    · Accountable for the creation of real value for SSR and our customers; utilizing deal registration, manufacture discounts and incentives as well as ongoing price negotiations.

    · This is a functional role and will require the individual to assist with quote preparation, PO, accurate billing, receiving, RMA and backorder management process.

    · Cross-selling products and services based on the customers’ unique needs 

    · Buildout and grow our leasing and monthly usage fee-based programs for customers


    Vendor/Distributer:

    · Understand and take advantage of all relevant vendor programs and products.

    · Build relationships with key vendor to do marketing and co-sell to grow market share using Market Development Funds programs

    · Work with Vendor and SSR Department Leaders to position SSR into the Vendor’s highest level partner designation. Ie: Microsoft partnership modern work designation

    Lead the launching of our new leasing program

    Support of Account Executives and work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements and on point execution

    Requirements

    · Minimum of an associate degree, preferably in business, procurement or technology related field 

    · 4 years of procurement order/fulfilment experience

    · IT Procurement Experience

    · Highly skilled in Excel and report creation

    · Ability to build strong “win/win” relationship with team members, customers, and vendors

    · Demonstrate good business acumen

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

    · Curiosity to learn about our ever-changing technology industry and customer purchasing habits.

    · Ability to manage, grow and train a small team.

    · Self-starter, proactive and positive personality

    · Strong problem-solving skills are a must, as well as the ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in your work.

    · Great negotiation skills. Oversee negotiating vendor contracts, so you must understand price points and be able to negotiate effectively.

    · Proficient with modern computing platforms.
