Kitchen Manager manages the daily operations of the kitchen, which may include but not limited to: accounting, finance, staff working schedule, inventory control and equipment supplies. Responsible for employees' training. Being a Kitchen Manager oversees other departments that contribute to the operations of the kitchen. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Kitchen Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Kitchen Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Kitchen Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Tula’s Kitchen is seeking a motivated and friendly Assistant Manager to join our team. This person will oversee front-of-house operations. This includes employee training and development, management of the bar area, customer relations, and health and safety adherence.


    What you’ll do:

    • Cultivate a welcoming atmosphere for customers and employees.
    • Resolve and follow up on customer opportunities promptly and professionally.
    • Coordinate daily front-of-house restaurant operations, including oversight of alcohol operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and alcohol regulations.
    • Lead and train employees to maintain high production, productivity, quality, and food safety standards.
    • Evaluate employee performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
    • Work with management team to control costs and build sales.
    • Oversee the closing of the store.

    What you’ll need:

    • A minimum of one-year restaurant manager experience.
    • Must be 21 years of age or older.
    • Skills and experience in front-of-house operations.
    • Familiarity with restaurant point-of-sale systems.
    • Driven to provide a consistently enjoyable, safe, quality eating experience for customers.
    • Excellent people skills to support internal and external customers.
    • Alcohol Server certification or ability to get this completed before starting.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
