Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Responsibilities:

    Land Acquisition:

    • Identify and evaluate potential land acquisition opportunities in alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
    • Conduct thorough market research, financial analysis, and due diligence to assess the feasibility of potential land acquisitions.
    • Negotiate and secure land purchase agreements, coordinating with legal, financial, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, and industry partners.

    Land Development:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive land development strategies, ensuring projects meet budgetary, regulatory, and timeline requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, planners, and construction professionals, to facilitate seamless project execution.
    • Oversee the entitlement process, including zoning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
    • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to optimize efficiency and profitability.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with land acquisition and development projects.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact projects.
    • Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the company's interests.

    Team Leadership:

    • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the land acquisition and development teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the department.
    • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their professional growth and contributions to the organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Civil Engineering, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 7 years of senior-level experience in land acquisition and land development within the residential real estate industry.
    • Proven track record of successfully acquiring and developing residential land projects.
    • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
    • In-depth knowledge of zoning regulations, entitlement processes, and land use policies.
    • Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills.
    • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $160,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
