Landscape Architect Manager jobs in Dayton, OH

We are looking to hire 1-2 hardworking individuals with a great attitude and aptitude to learn and mentor in a collaborative setting.

These opportunities are open to employees, independent contractors or those desiring to transition into entrepreneurship for the 2024 season and beyond.

Expectations and Qualifications

Minimum 1 year work experience in landscaping, 5 years of experience is preferred. Resume or cover letter must detail relevant landscape experience.

Resumes that do not include specific landscape experience details will not be considered.

• Prior experience ecological field work, and / or horticulture strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment in variety of weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of plants with desire to significantly expand; extensive knowledge preferred
• Enthusiasm for ecology and ecosystem processes
• Confidence with power tools (leaf blower, weed whip, chainsaw and hedgers) is required
• Confidence running heavy equipment (dingo, skidsteer, excavators) highly desired
• Experience driving truck and trailer is required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well independently and in a team
• Desire to uphold an inclusive, positive work culture
• Must provide 2 - 3 references.

• General Maintenance : Hand weeding & weed whipping, edging, mulching, watering; applying organic fertilization, organic herbicide and natural pest control
• Landscape or Habitat Restoration & Installation : Planting trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, grass or prairie seed; invasive plant removal, creating rock borders, installing weed fabric, spreading compost;

drainage, rainwater harvesting

• Hardscapes : Construction of rock or paver walkways, walls, stairs and patios; arbors, fences, water features, LED Lighting .
• Hiree may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

No Mowing or Snow Removal

Job Types : Full-time

Pay rate : Ranges from $20-$40. Based on experience & position as an employee vs. independent contractor

Schedule : 7-8 hour shift Monday - Friday. Some Saturdays may be needed if rainouts during Spring & Fall Seasons.

Required : Valid driver's license and a vehicle to drive to and from work and various locations.

Passing Drug Test (for illegal substances) and Background Check
