Job Summary

Quality Appliance of Faribault is looking for a lead Appliance Service Technician to join our team!

As a lead service tech, you would be very important to the identity of our business. Quality Appliance has been servicing appliances in the Faribault area for over 40 years, with a priority to maintain a trusted service department, by having a "truth over fluff" approach in both service and sales, and doing the best that we can to take care of our customers.

We are looking to hire someone who can walk in the door and know how to repair an appliance based on existing experience, where the only training required is in our specific practices of customer service. In this role, you would be responsible for diagnosing and repairing appliance failures, as well as communicating to customers when it is advisable to fix or a time to move on. In your spare time between calls you would be refurbishing appliances for resale, as well as researching upcoming calls, and furthering your education in the service field.

This position is well suited to a person who can be adaptable to their environment, and can learn quickly, as the job payment structure is extremely rewarding for a tech who can learn to successfully complete their calls in one visit.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately diagnose and repair appliances in the customer's home
• Provide cost estimates for repairs and collect payment from customers for work performed
• Inspect/Repair/Recondition appliances for "Used Appliance" sales
• Continuing education in service field though offered training courses.
• After 90 days of working for us, we would require warranty qualifications to be completed to in order to perform warranty service.
• Period installation of home appliances when installation staff is short

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License with a clean record
• Must have either prior experience in this type of position, or an extensive knowledge in appliance repair.
• Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology
• The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

Pay: $27.00 - $50.00 per hour
