Process, track, and manage employee leaves of absence, including but not limited to Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations, short-term disability, long-term disability, military leave, and company-specific leave policies.
Ensure all leaves are administered in compliance with applicable federal, state, and company regulations.
Act as a liaison between employees, managers, payroll, and third-party administrators.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave eligibility, requirements, and process timelines.
Provide clear and timely communication to employees about their rights, responsibilities, and the status of their leave requests.
Maintain accurate and confidential records for all leaves of absence in compliance with HIPAA and data privacy regulations.
Monitor return-to-work dates and coordinate with managers for smooth employee reintegration.
Process employee personnel actions in accordance with CREC policies
Generate and analyze leave-related reports to identify trends and ensure accuracy in leave tracking.
Provide regular updates to HR leadership on leave activity and potential areas of concern.
Assist in the development and communication of leave policies and procedures.
Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on leave-related topics.
Collaborate with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and other internal resources to support employees navigating challenging personal or medical situations.
Partner with the HR Administrator to manage reasonable accommodations during or after leaves of absence.
Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
5 years of experience in leave administration, benefits management, or HR operations.
Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other federal/state leave laws and regulations.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
