The Program Coordinator is responsible for the management of events and programs for the Business and Career Center at BPL. They supervise a team of outreach specialists to ensure the smooth delivery and effective promotion of programs and services that serve the economic and financial needs of BPL users. The Program Coordinator manages the PowerUP business plan competition, oversees the BKLYN Fashion Academy and all other B&CC special initiatives. They work closely with B&CC librarians to develop and deliver a host of public programs and special projects at the Business & Career Center and other locations. Identifying and developing advantageous relationships with community-based partners and City agencies that can deliver informational programs is a critical part of their work. Promotion of the B&CC’s programs and services to the community at large is the responsibility of the Program Coordinator. They are also responsible for the management and programming of event and meeting room spaces in the Business and Career Center to ensure full and active public participation. The Program Coordinator supervises and works closely with a team of program and outreach specialists, part time and temporary staff.

This is a non-union, exempt position with a salary range of $74,000 - $82,000.
