Licensing Specialist

Location: Emeryville, CA (In-Office Regularly)

Responsibilities:

• License Application Management: Manage the end-to-end process for applying for various business licenses, with a special emphasis on alcohol licenses. This includes preparing, submitting, and tracking license applications to ensure timely approval.
• Documentation and Compliance: Collect and organize necessary documentation required for license applications. Ensure all submissions comply with local, state, and federal regulations and address any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
• Research and Coordination: Conduct research to understand licensing requirements and regulations specific to alcohol and other business licenses. Coordinate with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve issues.
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support related to licensing tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and updating internal systems with licensing information.
• Communication: Serve as a point of contact for any inquiries related to licensing. Communicate effectively with regulatory bodies, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth processing of applications.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline the licensing process and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in licensing, particularly with alcohol licenses, is highly desirable. However, candidates with strong administrative skills and an eagerness to learn will also be considered.
• Administrative Skills: Proficiency in administrative tasks such as document preparation, data entry, and record management. Familiarity with office software and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, database management) is required.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents and information. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with regulatory agencies and internal teams.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of identifying and addressing issues or discrepancies in licensing applications and documentation.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing requirements and processes, with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
