    A Specialist’s main responsibility is providing superior customer service, facilitating efficient sales transactions and general maintenance of the sales floor. Maintaining our standard of superior customer service with each interaction. Educating customers, listening with empathy, showing compassion, and understanding while facilitating a successful purchase/transaction

    Specialists are responsible for partnering with leadership to ensure smooth daily operations based on their specific store schedule and operations.

    Adheres to company policies and acts with integrity under the direct supervision of the Store Management Team.

    In adherence to all compliance regulations governing the purchasing and selling of cannabis and non- cannabis product, the Specialist will partner with the Store Management Team in each location to support all facets of policy and procedures and sales floor duties.

    Core Responsibilities:

    Sales & Profitability

    • Deliver a positive, friendly experience by engaging the customer through conversation and exceptional service.
    • Enhance the store environment and atmosphere by focusing on customer interactions over tasks.
    • Exhibit excellence floor presence by following customer standards, product placement and time management.
    • Prioritizes product knowledge as a main component of service and actively engages in all store trainings to ensure continued and ongoing education as it relates to product and service.
    • Prioritizes and communicates department insights to direct supervisor.
    • Assists team to uphold company customer service standards.

    People & Teamwork

    • Work productively within the team by and take initiative to work with others towards a common, collaborative goal.
    • Actively seek out development opportunities to learn and grow.
    • Assist in the training and development of peers.

    Communication

    •  Lead with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Possesses excellent communication skills, effectively completes projects, and consistently follows up with tasks and service.
    •  Exhibit consistent professional communication, follow through and problem-solving skills.
    • Communicates store and company information/directives to peers when needed.
    • Actively participates in daily department and store meetings.
    Operations

     

    • Assist the team in shipping and receiving process and complete shipment turnaround process, as and when needed.
    • Ensure that all tasks are completed and support that all backstock areas are clean and organized.
    • Proficient at all point of sales systems and operations to provide a seamless interaction for the customer while maintaining accuracy to adhere to all operational compliance and tasks.
    • Ensure compliance with all BCC, State and City regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with Company emergency and safety procedures to protect employees and customers from accidents and incidents.
    • Support store goals by training in loss prevention awareness and overseeing adherence to loss prevention practices.
    •  Regular attendance and punctuality are essential

    Merchandising and Display

    • Ensure a neat, clean, and organized store environment.
    • Exhibit excellent knowledge regarding current product and trend awareness.
    • Support the store team by assisting in merchandising and display products as needed.

    Interpersonal Skills and Ownership

    • Adapts to changes required by the business.
    • Acts professionally and with integrity providing open, honest, and constructive feedback.
    • Makes fast, smart decisions, takes initiative and calculated risks to improve personal and Store performance.
    • Accepts responsibility for performance and ensures all commitments are met.
    • Communicates effectively to all levels.
    • Develops partnerships within the team to enable business success.
    • Works well with others.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Must be 21 years old.
    • Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 1-year experience in customer service in a retail environment.
    • Must pass a federal background check via Live scan in certain markets.
    • B.A. preferred, but experience is paramount.
    • Experience working in a highly regulated businesses is desirable.
    • Uses sound judgment when making decisions.
    • Assumes other duties assigned by supervisor.
    • Exhibits strong leadership skills amongst peers and have confidence communicating at the store level.
    • Uphold excellent customer service skills and a service orientated culture.
    • Achieve statistical results (sales, shrinkage).
    • Previous retail experience preferred.
    • Previous cannabis experience preferred.

    Work Environment:

    • This job operates in a professional cannabis store environment.
    • This role routinely uses standard office and store equipment such as computers, phones, printers, POS.
    • This position regularly requires working evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

    Physical Demands:

    • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
    • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms, and required to lift a min of 50lbs.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

    • This is a part time or full-time non-exempt hourly position which reports to store leadership.
    • This position can require work on early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

    Travel:

    • This position may require you to travel to corporate offices as well as other store locations for training, learning and development.
