Localization Engineer develops and produces localized versions of the company's products and services. Supports the creation and maintenance of localization test specifications and scripts for automating localization testing. Being a Localization Engineer tests localized products according to test specifications. Identifies, prioritizes and fixes localization bugs according to established procedures. Additionally, Localization Engineer applies working knowledge of networks, operating systems, hardware, software, and testing/production environments in performing work assignments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Localization Engineer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Job Description

    Project Engineer will have achieved proficiency in most of the duties listed below and be able to train other level staff and field staff to proficiency in these areas. Project Engineer travel to project sites for field work on occasion, however, will be more relied upon for office analysis work than field staff. If needed, Project Engineers should be capable of or already independently managing field jobs.

    • Engineering and geological analysis for slope stability and underground excavations
    • Preparation of technical presentations and reports for clients
    • Basic use of 3D modeling and data visualization software (e.g. MinePlan3D)
    • Able and willing to train co-workers in areas of expertise
    • Collect, process and reduce field data
    • If sent to a site, field work would include client interaction, site characterization, geologic mapping, oriented core logging, and geomechanical core logging/sampling
    • Carry out the following analyses:
      • Surface
        • Bench-scale analysis
        • Interramp analysis
        • Overall slope analysis
        • Rockfall analysis
      • Underground
        • Kinematic and empirical analysis
        • Auditing of ground support designs
    • Provide support in the writing of technical reports and memos
    • Foster strong client relationships while on and off site
    • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
    • May assist more senior Geologist/Engineers on large, more complex projects.
    • May include other non-listed duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required in an applicable field (e.g., Geological Engineering, Geology, Mining Engineering, Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering, etc.) 
    • Experience required: 3-8 years
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to travel to project sites as needed 
    • Computer literacy, experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Able to write reports for clients in English (additional language skills considered a plus)
    • Ready to work with a safety-first mindset both in the office and in the field
    • Professional Engineer registration considered a plus
