Mail Clerk receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail. Collects and processes outgoing mail. Being a Mail Clerk operates postage machine and other mailroom equipment as needed. PURPOSE:
The Mail Clerk position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, on-site, adhering to the designated work schedule. Candidates should possess a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data entry and indexing. Previous involvement in mailroom operations, specifically in tasks such as scanning and batching, is essential. Familiarity with medical claims processing and adherence to HIPAA regulations is preferred, offering an advantage in this role. The primary responsibilities entail mailroom operations, with a predominant focus on data entry. It's important to note that candidates must be prepared to utilize their own equipment, as laptops or PCs will not be provided.l.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
30% Ships and receives office supplies and materials.
25% Weighs and prepares shipments.
25% Operates postage meter.
20% Picks-up packages inside and outside the office.
