May supervise and guide work of lower level mail clerks. Additionally, Mail Clerk, Sr. typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a Mailroom Supervisor. The Mail Clerk, Sr. gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Job Purpose and Summary :
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving new mail, prepping, sorting, scanning, matching EOB’s to payments and balancing deposits in accordance to SportsCare policy / guidelines.
This position requires basic operation of computers, attention to details, and accuracy. In addition, this position requires team effort when processing time sensitive information.
This is a permanent full-time position typically working 40 hours per week. This position is based out of the Corporate South Location.
Requirements and Duties :
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail
- Attorney payments
- Patient payments
- Insurance payments
- Denials
- Labeling Folders
- Balancing / Processing daily deposits
- Notify manager of important changes;
- Refunds
- Insurance billing changes
- Insurance letters
- Scanning / Uploading documents
- Must be organized
- Have great clerical skills
- Team player with a great attitude
- Maintain cleanliness of mail area
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department
Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
