Mainframe Programmer reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale mainframe computer system. Maintains and develops online and batch application programs. Being a Mainframe Programmer develops and implements a disaster recovery plan. Works with project members to develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts. Additionally, Mainframe Programmer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.     **Pay Depends on Experience**

    Responsibilities:

    - Develop and write CNC programs for machining operations based on engineering drawings and specifications

    - Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to programmed instructions

    - Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize machining processes

    - Perform tooling changes, offsets, and adjustments as necessary

    - Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments

    - Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols on engineering drawings

    - Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues as they arise

    - Maintain accurate documentation of programs, tooling, and machine settings

    Skills:

    - Effective Communication skills

    - Highly organized

    - Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times

    - Ability to work autonomously

    - Lift objects 20-50lbs

    - G-Code Knowledge

    - M-Code Knowledge

    - Proficiency in GibbsCAM programming software for CNC machines

    - Strong programming skills with experience in CAD/CAM systems

    - Knowledge of machining principles and practices

    - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

    - Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers

    - Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

    - Experience with AutoCAD or similar software for creating or modifying drawings

    - Ability to fabricate parts using CNC machines

    - Working knowledge of Haas, Doosan & Matsuura are a plus

    - Performs operations per specifications on drawing/print and documented procedures

    - Perform and record first piece inspection and fill out in-process inspection sheets

    - Deburr parts using machines such as milling, drilling, grinding and other machines as needed

    - Experience in reading, interpreting blueprints, routers, work instructions and specifications

    - Advanced measurement skills for inspection, including use of CMM, and optical comparator

    - Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
