We are seeking an experienced Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager that will lead our Talent Team to support our various programs, non-public schools, and expanding opportunities at our Campus of Life, located in San Marcos, CA.
This position is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. You will manage full life-cycle recruitment, including formulating search strategy, requisition creation, candidate sourcing, pre-screening/interviewing, presenting qualified candidates, managing/extending offers, and assisting with new hire onboarding. This position will work closely with Leadership and collaborate with program directors and hiring managers to ensure successful hiring across the organization.
How will you make a difference . . .
Consistently review, develop, and implement creative recruitment and retention methods in order to build and maintain a referral network
- Screen candidates by reviewing applications, performing phone and/or in-person screenings and helping them navigate through all onboarding processes
- Creating social media content, letters, flyers, handouts and other content for marketing and advertising
- Manage job ads and digital job board postings
- Evaluate applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualification to job requirements
- Work and collaborate with internal teams to understand hiring needs and process
- Develop and maintain professional networks
- Develop and/or implement effective recruitment strategies to improve upon best practices while providing accurate and through documentation on applicants using internal tracking software
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, monthly activity metrics and objectives as set by management
- Participates in and organizes both virtual and in-person recruitment events such as job fairs, community events, community meetings, etc.
- Conduct phone interviews with new applicants, schedules and conducts in person interviews, reviews reference checks and screenings, and makes recommendations regarding the selection of individuals.
- Maintains consistent, open communication with supervisor and other management to keep them apprised of recruitment goals, activities, overall status
- Develops effective relationships across the organization and with hiring managers to shape and influence the impact on the recruiting process, hiring, and onboarding.
- Managing all candidate interactions from interview scheduling, meeting, greeting, rejections and through to the job offer, ensuring their experience is smooth and engaging.
- Maintaining timely accurate records and workflows around all hiring activity and producing metrics and analysis on the success of approaches and campaigns.
- Develop recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board, colleges, etc.
- Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc.
- Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
- Generate meaningful, analytical, recruiting metrics.
- Promote company's reputation as best place to work and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience through timely communication and transparency.
- Establish and maintain expertise in the ADP Applicant Tracking System to navigate candidates through the workflows, provide guidance to hiring managers on their role, and ensure accurate system management from requisition posting to hire.
- Identify target markets for external talent and execute opportunities to build talent pipelines.
- Create innovative approaches to target passive and active candidates.
- Communicate industry trends to ensure competitive advantage.
- Develop a deep understanding of the needs and demands of programs and positions across the organization and use this insight to provide best in class service.
- Drive the offer process by working closely with internal partners and collaborating with HR colleagues to ensure smooth onboarding experience.

You will need to be comfortable with taking ownership of projects and executing them or seek assistance when required to deliver desired results. The role will also require documenting operational processes clearly and updated in an ongoing effort to ensure all process are current and accurate – SOP’s.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, mentorship, and direct management of 1-2 recruiting staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of comprehensive recruiting experience preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
- Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, etc)
- Experienced with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Experience with ADP preferred.
- Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Knowledge of recruiting practices, principles, applications, and methods.
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based)
- Demonstrated proactive sourcing models/strategies and experience engaging with both passive and active candidates and networks, preferably related to hands-on caregiving, direct care, and specialized educational positions, including instructional assistants, and behavioral support positions (BCBA, RBT).
- Track record of innovative sourcing and building talent pipelines/communities.
- Expertise in candidate and recruitment process management.
- Familiarity with job boards, databases, and professional networks.
- Demonstrated expertise of recruiting principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of and experience with US (federal/state/local) employment laws and regulations.
- Desire and ability to create a positive environment for candidates and hiring managers.
Annual Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
