Job Summary:
Excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to join a cable manufacturing company located in Anaheim, CA. As a Quality Assurance Technician. This position is responsible to manage the day-to-day technical duties within the Quality Assurance department. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible mainly to: a) develop the test programs/instructions based on customer specifications and internal guidelines; b) perform the validation of new test fixtures; c) implement the QA Engineering Change Order; d) provide support for technical testing/inspecting of products to the QC Inspectors (troubleshooting); e) participate on the processing of RMAs/CNCs thru helping to communicate Quality Alerts, perform the confirmation of RMAs and implementing the final disposition of them; f) handle RMAs-Finished Goods to be shipped to other sites, and; g) create and update Final Inspection Reports for the final inspection of products.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
- Create the required test programs or test instructions documenting them into M3 system, according with the creation plan or based.
- Identify and confirm the existence of the required test fixtures for the perform of the product testing based on the ECO requirements.
- Generate the Purchas Orders / Stock Request as required for the creation of new test fixtures.
- Submit the Stock Request for materials in stock for the creation of test fixtures, as required.
- Validate the conformance of the test fixtures created/repaired. • Provide quick and effective technical support for testing / inspecting products to assure the continuity of the operation and minimize interruptions.
- Help to communicate Quality Alerts created locally or by other sites, per instructions QA Engineers.
- Perform the implementation of the Engineering Change Order (ECO) which may include the update of Final Inspection Reports, test programs/instructions, notify to QA Engineer the need of new test fixtures or additional ones required, the update of instructions on Work Order Traveler and/or redlined/cancellation of inspections or testing performed, and request the transfer of material to different operations & departments, per current procedures.
- Perform the confirmation of RMAs received and provide them to the assigned QA Engineer for the further analysis.
- Execute the final disposition determined by Program Manager for RMAs, performing the corresponding transactions on system, and moving physically material per current procedures.
- Participate on the scrapping of non-conforming product/material.
- Create and provide the Certificates of Destruction as required.
- Close the CNC records once implemented the corresponding disposition.
- Manage the transfer or RMAs-Finished Goods among other site (shipping and reception) thru the corresponding functions of Shipping and Materials Traffic, as required.
- Participate to develop Root Cause Analysis and determination of CAPA when required.
- Perform the required task for the Crimping Tool Qualification when required.
- Occasionally supporting functions of in-process inspection, product testing and/or product inspection, if required and instructed.
- Comply with the policies of the Company and the Employee Manual all times.
- Support the training of operative personnel as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
