The Marketing Assistant will work under the Marketing Manager and assist with organizing campaigns, creating/sharing content and developing marketing strategies that align with the vision/mission of Five Points Washington.
This position is a current, part-time position, approximately 20 hours/wk, with the potential to grow into full-time. Work hours will be between 8am-6pm Monday-Friday with some nights and weekends required. Final shifts and schedule will be determined at hire.
Marketing Duties:
- Assist with content development for the Five Points Washington and Live @ Five Points social media platforms.
- Assist with monitoring and responding to communications/requests on social media platforms.
- Maintain and organize photo and video library.
- Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
- Support Marketing manager in organizing various projects.
- Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories as needed.
- Assist with submitting purchase orders.
- Assist in creation of marketing materials to promote the Aquatic Center, Fitness Center, Memberships and the programs that compliment those services.
- Assist in creation of marketing materials for promotion of Live @ Five Points, Performing Arts Theater and Event Center events.
- Assist in the organizing of promotional events, traditional/digital marketing campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success.
- Provide production support for various projects, programs and initiatives including event signage, flyers and posters.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a marketing assistant.
- Must be proficient in media writing with knowledge of AP Style.
- Knowledge of basic marketing principles and market research techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Well organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Creative thinker.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work well independently.
- Comfortable working on projects with tight deadlines and short notice.
- Ability to multitask.
- Willingness to ask questions to ensure clear direction and understanding.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Experience using social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
- Experience using Facebook/Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year experience in Marketing, Communications, Brand Management, Event Promotion or related field.
- Associates Degree and experience in marketing and business field is a strong advantage
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and Lightroom.
- Experience using Microsoft Publisher and Canva.
- Experience using Constant Contact.
