About Us:
We are two thriving acupuncture practices in search of a knowledgeable and experienced Medical Billing Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing billing operations at both locations, ensuring all billing activities are carried out efficiently and accurately.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of medical billing, including submissions, resubmissions, corrected claims, and deleted claims.
• Investigate rejected claims using phone calls, chats, emails, and provider/web resources to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and payment statuses.
• Coordinate between both practices to ensure consistent application of billing practices and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Medical Billing Specialist, preferably with a background in acupuncture or alternative medicine.
• Familiarity with billing systems and electronic medical records, especially Availity, Claim.MD, DSS, and insurance-specific platforms.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims submission processes, and appeals.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Self-starter capable of providing itemized updates on a weekly basis.
