Good Shepherd Hospice, a leading regional provider of hospice care, is seeking a full-time, experienced Hospice Medical Billing Specialist for our corporate office in Oklahoma City.- In Office: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Experience is Cash posting & Commercial Billing
- Hospice Billing Preferred
Key Responsibilities
- File electronic/paper claims to Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance payers
- Review and analysis of claims
- Check eligibility
- Obtain authorizations
- Insurance claim follow-up
- Process rejections and denials
- Initiate claim appeals when necessary
- Post payments and adjustments
- Work with field staff to obtain missing billing documentation
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Two years of experience in Medicare, Medicaid and commercial claims billing required
- Working knowledge of Medical Terminology/Coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Experience processing claims through a clearinghouse
- Experience working in HomeCare HomeBase software
